Treble Cone Backcountry Tour

Ski and Splitboard Touring

Treble Cone Backcountry Tour

A Treble Cone backcountry tour is an excellent introduction to the skiing and riding opportunities that lie beyond the ski field boundary. A local mountain guide will introduce you to the skills required to safely explore the backcountry and use their experience and local knowledge to find the best terrain and snow.

Group tours are scheduled throughout winter and privately on demand. Register interest below and we will be in touch to make arrangements.
Treble Cone Backcountry Tour

The area offers a variety of runs and aspects for all levels of ski touring and splitboarding ability.

Treble Cone backcountry tours can be tailored to the group’s level but more fitness will allow further travel into the backcountry and experience more terrain and endless skiing, or riding.

Small groups and local, experienced guides provide the maximum opportunity to pick up all those tips and tricks for efficient travel, staying safe, and finding the best snow.

If you want to extend your backcountry knowledge, consider combining a day tour with an Avalanche Skills Course or Backcountry Ski and Splitboard Course.

We also run day tours at Cardrona, the Pisa Range or The Remarkables near Queenstown (transport surcharge applies).

It is a short hike to the summit of Treble Cone itself and Towers Ridge extends southwards towards Coronet Peak.
